Dear Don,

Enron investigations are going strong in Washington. On Thursday, we'll watch the closed-door meeting between Congressional investigators and the former Andersen auditor who handled the Enron account. Andersen fired David Duncan on Tuesday for destroying documents, and now Duncan is said to be cooperating with the House Energy and Commerce Committee investigation.

Congress returns next week and on Thursday we'll bring you updates from our Washington bureau on the debate to come in 2002 over energy emissions policy. We'll also have details on a new report to be released tomorrow in Washington that could impact the emissions debate.

Finally from Washington, Correspondent Alison Kosik will take us for a test drive on the highly anticipated Segway Human Transporter. Alison will give us the inside scoop on an invention that some people believe could hold major implications for the energy sector.

Lawsuits continue to fly at Enron - the Houston bureau will have a report on the most current suit representing more than 30,000 Houston area teachers. We'll hear from the attorney representing them, Fleming & Associates' Sean Jez, from the bureau on Thursday.

A new nonprofit organization in Houston is helping new businesses being formed by ex-Enron employees. On Thursday from the Houston bureau, Resource Alliance Group Executive Director John Elder will join us to talk about the group. Catch Elder during the 10:00 a.m. ET newscast tomorrow.

The Houston bureau will also bring us a report on an ERCOT workshop being held in Houston on Thursday. Henwood Energy Services is hosting the workshop, which will address the implications of overcapacity for power portfolio strategy and results.

Raymond James & Associates Senior Energy Analyst Jon Cartwright talks to ENL's Kym McNicholas about Calpine's new capital expenditures plan and lowered earnings projections for 2002. Cartwright will join us during the 3:00 p.m. ET newscast on Thursday.

Finally, Kym will bring us an update on Southern California Edison's recovery plan and the obstacles ahead. Join us for these reports from the West Coast bureau on Thursday.
