  • 2 May I've updated lecture notes for week 7 (.pdf or .ps) and week 12 (.pdf or .ps). In week 7, I fixed some minor (but confusing) typos in section 1: QR Probabilistic Cryptosystem. In week 12, I made a substantial change to Figure 3 in section 2.3: Coin-flipping using commutative cryptosystems. The intention in step 2 was for messages mi to encode r and i in a way such that both could be efficiently recovered. The new method for doing so no longer confuses strings with numbers. Many thanks to the two students who pointed out these errors!

  • 2 May I've posted solutions to PS7 (.pdf or .ps).

  • 30 Apr. The final examination will take place at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 7, in room DL 220. Please note that this is not our usual classroom. I've posted a study guide (.pdf or .ps) for your use in preparing for the final exam.
