2 May I've updated lecture notes for
week 7 (.pdf or .ps)
and
week 12 (.pdf or .ps).
In week 7, I fixed some minor (but confusing) typos in section
1: QR Probabilistic Cryptosystem. In week 12, I made a
substantial change to Figure 3 in section 2.3: Coin-flipping
using commutative cryptosystems. The intention in step 2 was
for messages mi to encode r and
i in a way such that both could be efficiently recovered.
The new method for doing so no longer confuses strings with
numbers. Many thanks to the two students who pointed out these
errors!
2 May I've posted solutions to PS7 (.pdf or .ps).
30 Apr. The final examination will take
place at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 7, in room DL 220. Please
note that this is not our usual classroom.
I've posted a study guide
(.pdf or .ps) for
your use in preparing for the final exam.
30 Apr.I've posted some minor updates to the
lecture notes for
week 13 (.pdf or .ps).
