Submitting Homeworks Electronically

Please submit all homework assignments electronically. Follow the instructions below to use the Yale Classes*v2 server to do this.

Preparing your assignment for submission

Type your assignment and save it in one of the following formats: Zip Compression (Winzip .zip), Microsoft Word (.doc), Text (.txt), Rich Text (.rtf), PostScript (.ps), or Adobe Acrobat (.pdf). If you are using a non-Windows machine, be sure that the file has an appropriate file extension, e.g., assignment1.doc for a Word document. If you have specific questions about a format or how to convert to one of these, please email the TA at richard.alimi@yale.edu.

Log into the Classes*v2 server

  1. Go to the Classes*v2 home page (this link opens the page in a new window).
  2. Click the "Yale NetID Login" link at the top-right corner of the page.
  3. Enter your NetID and Password in the appropriate text boxes and click Login.

Submit your assignment

  1. At the top of the screen, you will see a tab for each course for which you are a member. Click the tab that says "CPSC 156 01 (S07)."
  2. Click the "Assignments" link on the left side of the page.
  3. Click the "Submit" link corresponding to the assignment you wish to submit.
  4. Click the "Add Attachments" button.
  5. For each file you would like to submit, click the "Browse" button and select the file. After you select the file, it will automatically be added to the list of files that will be submitted at the top of the page. You may remove files from this list by clicking the corresponding "Remove" link.
  6. Click the "Continue" button.
  7. Click the "Submit" button.

Logging out

Whenever you are finished using the Classes*v2 server, you should logout and close your browser window. To do this, click the "Logout" link at the top-right corner of the page. You will receive confirmation; then close your browser window.
