Dear Don,

The General Accounting Office made it official on Wednesday - the investigative arm of Congress will sue Vice President Dick Cheney over his refusal to turn over information related to the work of his energy task force. The GAO wants to know with whom the task force met, especially within the energy industry. The White House insists the request is inappropriate and promises to put up a fight. On Thursday from the Washington bureau, we'll hear where this dispute is headed.

The Washington bureau will also have the latest on the Congressional investigation into Enron. Several new Enron hearings have been added to next week's Congressional calendar. Two big hearings are scheduled for Monday and former Enron CEO Kenneth Lay is expected to make an appearance at both. This will be the first time any Enron executive has testified before Congress.

West Coast Bureau Correspondent Kym McNicholas will speak one-on-one with Southern California Edison President Bob Foster Thursday. He'll discuss SoCal Edison's road to recovery during 1:00 p.m. ET newscast tomorrow.

On Thursday from Houston, Haynes and Boone LLP Attorney Lenny Parkins will join us to provide legal analysis on the latest Enron developments. Parkins is stopping by the bureau during the noon ET newscast tomorrow.

Energy Intelligence Group Bureau Chief Barbara Shook talks about LNG projects. Some of the projects that were scheduled to come online in the U.S. are now being placed on the back burner due to low gas prices. Catch Shook from the Houston bureau on Thursday.

Finally from the NASDAQ in New York, Tyumen Oil Company President and CEO Simon Kukes will join us. He'll give us the lowdown on Russian oil issues at 9:00 a.m. ET on Thursday.
