Weyerhaeuser recycling plant in Indiana hit by fire

Nov. 13, 2001 (Recycling Today) -- Weyerhaeuser?s recycling facility in Itasca, Indiana, was hit by fire Nov. 13. Brian McDermott, a spokesman for Weyerhaeuser, said about 50 tons of old corrugated container, roughly one day's worth of processing. While most of the recovered paper being stored at the plant was lost, the structure itself sustained limited damage. The only damage done to the equipment was a motor and a conveyor line. ...
