At the first hearing on Wednesday, all four= FERC commissioners commented on Barton's bill. Several industry trade ass= ociations will testify during day two of the hearings. Washington Bureau C= hief Peter Cook says Rep. Barton believes the legislation will improve rest= ructuring efforts around the country, while some Democrats on the Subcommit= tee say the bill goes too far. We'll bring you more on the debate tomorrow= . Peter also says the bureau will have more from the first Congressional = hearing into the collapse of Enron. Wednesday's hearing is expected to be = the first of many on the Hill dealing with the fall of Enron. Join us Thur= sday for these reports from Washington.
