Spot Month Procedures on the Eve of First Notice Day

Please be reminded that Wednesday, February 28, 2001, is the First Notice=
=20
Day, for the Gold, Silver, Copper and Aluminum futures delivery month of=20
March 2001 (the new spot month).

On Tuesday, February 27, 2001, the Eve of the First Notice Day, all Brokers=
=20
and Clearing Members must have a duly authorized, On-Line Trade Entry=20
(=01&OLTE=018) system trained representative available until such time as t=
he=20
Exchange deems necessary.

It is imperative that trades involving the Spot Month are processed and=20
cleared properly.  Therefore, representatives are expected to make a dilige=
nt=20
effort to process all Spot Month trades accurately.

Failure by any Clearing Member or qualified Floor Trader to show due=20
diligence involving Spot Month Trade processing may result in severe=20
disciplinary action by the Exchange.
