Are you using regionID = 2?  That corresponds to Calif.  If you are using regionID 5, 6, or 7 (NP, SP, and ZP), then you are probably not getting any results.  We do not break up the Calif forecast into NP/SP/ZP.  Let me know if you have any more questions.
