YHack Hackathon - Student Staff Interest Form

YHack is Yale’s largest annual student-run hackathon, a 48-hour continuous event where students from around the world come to Yale to compete in a project-style software engineering competition. The YHack team is currently looking to grow, and we are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our organizing team! This is a fantastic opportunity to develop leadership skills, collaborate with like-minded peers, and contribute to an event that brings together brilliant minds from across the globe. No experience necessary! We are reviewing applications on a rolling basis.

The YHack organization is split into multiple teams, each working on independent projects to organize the hackathon as a whole. 🧑🎨 Design: The design team creates graphics, posters, merch designs, and images that help promote the theme of the hackathon. No experience necessary! 💸 External Relations and Sponsorships: Hackathons rely on sponsorships from external companies such as Google. The sponsorships team is responsible for reaching out to these companies and recruiting sponsors for the event. No experience necessary! 👋 Marketing and Outreach: The marketing team runs our social media and promotes our organization to encourage participants to learn about and come to YHack! No experience necessary! 📕 Logistics and Operations: The logistics and operations team is responsible for planning and scheduling the event itself, including handling the venue, food, and security. Prior hackathon planning experience preferred. ⚙️ Tech and Web Development: The tech team is responsible for creating the website where participants will apply to join the hackathon.
